I have often been asked how to become an Herbalist? My answer to this, is there is no one right answer. I know that may sound like avoiding the question, but it is 100% the truth.

I have been an herbalist for well over 20+ years, and have only been self taught. So you could do that. Pick an herb and learn all there is about it to learn. Pick an ailment of the body, and learn all you can about how herbs support that body system and what will be the best options to do this. This is one way of 1000 ways!

You could pick up my self study guide:

On Amazon or on Etsy – downloadable – and this is a workbook for you to follow along as it suits you. It is meant to help you with your self studies.

You could find a good herbal academy school. The options are many and varied in what they teach and the final outcome. I chose to go through The Herbal Academy

because they offered exactly what I wanted. I had the options to take the Intro, Intermediate, and the Advanced courses, and also the Business course. That is exactly what I wanted. And they are so easy to work with and user friendly. You see I am the kind of person who just wants to be left to my studies, because I devour them voraciously when I have time. I love it! So The Herbal Academy offered this, and there are a few of their other courses that I intend to take when I have finished the advanced course! This is just one way of 1000!

Do your research and see where it takes you. Know what your end goals are, and what you need to make them happen. And of course feel free to reach out to me and ask any questions. I would be glad to help you get set on the right herbal path for you!

My only suggestion, is don’t wait as long as I did to make your studies official. I wish I would have gotten more serious about my studies years ago. It wasn’t the right timing for me, but I still wish I could have done it.

Enjoy! Relax and have fun with it! Whatever path you choose, it will be right for you at the moment. Trust that!
